Work In Progress: Cato Structure

Over the years this structure has allowed Duck Creek management staff to take water out of the Castor River when the river levels are high. The water from the Castor goes through the Cato structure, down Ditch 111 and into Pool 1, which is about 7 miles downstream. Pool 1 is used as a water-storage reservoir and is the source of water to flood pools 2 and 3. Replacing the Cato structure is one piece of the puzzle to enhance our water management capability in the future.
