Fishing, Family and Food – What a Great Way to Spend a Saturday

Any day you get to spend fishing is a great day and the Family Fishing Day held on June 8 at Twin Pines Conservation Education Center is no exception. Although rain delayed due to the storms that rolled thru the previous Saturday, there was still a good turnout with more than 70 participants ranging in age from 3 years old to 70 years young. Kids, parents and grandparents were all fed a good lunch and with the assistance of the Take Me Fishing program thru Wal-mart and Zebco, there were some pretty good prizes. Part of the statewide Free Fishing Day, this is the fourth annual event at Twin Pines. Just one more reason Missouri is a great place to hunt and fish!
