MDC celebrates National Hunting and Fishing Day with A Day the Confluence event Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Columbia Bottom Conservation Area in Spanish Lake with free activities such as guided river-boat rides.
This old barn once stood at the present location of the Columbia Bottom Visitor Center before its deconstruction. Some of the original wood from the barn was used in building the current visitor center.
Download and complete this application form and return it to the Visitor Center at Columbia Bottom Conservation area between July 1 and before 5:00 p.m. on July 31, 2015 for a chance to hunt doves in this Missouri Conservation Area.
A permanent stone privy at Columbia Bottom Conservation Area was toppled from its base by flood waters that breached its Missouri River levee June 2. MDC officials estimate it may take months to repair all the damage to the area.
