A large investigation involving illegal commercialization of wildlife and wildlife parts was brought to a close this weekend where the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) documented a total of 299 serious violations in seven counties across southern Missouri.
Conservation Agent Eric Abbott nabbed four men handfishing and possessing this fish in the Tarkio River in Atchison County in August 2012. Abbott released the large flathead, topping 40 pounds, back into the river.
An angler at Jackson’s Rotary Lake was recently found in possession of a massive over limit of trout according to a local conservation agent. The daily limit for trout at Rotary Lake is four, which means that a person cannot catch and keep more than four trout on any given day.
