Falcon Camera Education Material
Use the falcon web cam and related education materials to open Missouri students' eyes to the lives of peregrine falcons, the fastest animals on earth.
Guided observation for all grades
Our fact sheets, classroom activities, and lesson plans help Missouri students in all grades monitor these peregrine activities:
- Courtship
- Nest building
- Egg laying
- Incubating
- Hatching
- Chick feeding
- Fledging
Through observation, students learn first-hand about endangered species, predators, prey, adaptations, food chains, how humans have changed the environment, and urban ecosystems.
Falcon study by grade section
The activities and lesson plans for grades K–2, 3–5, 6–8 and 9–12 below were developed in partnership with the World Bird Sanctuary in St. Louis. Others were adapted from our Discover Nature Schools program.
