Waterfowl hunting seminar set for Dalton Range

Springfield Mo -- When it comes to the pursuit of wild game in this area, waterfowl hunting is as much of an outdoors tradition for some Ozarkers as any other type of outdoors activity. If you’ve heard of this popularity and would like to learn more about waterfowl hunting, be sure to attend the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) “Discover Hunting: Waterfowl Hunting” clinic. This free seminar will be held 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 at the Andy Dalton Shooting Range and Outdoor Education Center, 4897 N. Farm Road 61 in Ash Grove.

The MDC’s “Discover Hunting” programs are an ongoing series of seminars designed to help both youths and adults learn the techniques, regulations and ethics involved with the state’s hunting activities. Topics that will be covered at the Oct. 17 event include waterfowl identification, hunting regulations, firearms safety and shotgun patterning.
